General Information
  • Date and Location
The conference will be held in the Old Lecture Theatre (room 86) at the British Museum on 25-27 June 2001.  Please note the change of room number.  The Old Lecture Theatre is accessible off the west side of the Museum's central Great Court. Cross the Egyptian Sculpture Gallery and go down the stairs beside the Assyrian bull. Anyone who has difficulty with stairs should contact Christopher Walker in advance to make appropriate arrangements. The Great Court and cafe open at 9am; the galleries open at 10am.
  • Languages
The main language of the conference will be English, but speakers should feel free to use their native tongue if they prefer.
  • Registration
The registration fee for the conference will be £15 for the three days, or £5 for one day (students: £9 and £3 respectively).  Payment should be made in cash on the day.  However, please send Christopher Walker (cwalker@thebritishmuseum.ac.uk) your name and contact address in advance of the conference to book a place.
